RM Cylinders now designs and manufactures a range of Calorifier units for commercial and industrial use, sizes up to 10,000L capacity. Made to current British Standards the copper calorifier range of cylinders is constantly being developed with new specifications being added all the time. Advice is always on hand to ensure you get the calorifier suitable for the application.

Offering a fully bespoke service RM Cylinders can even provide initial preliminary design sketches if required, and are able to respond rapidly to specifiers, contractors, and engineers. RM Cylinders skilled team always ensure that the final product meets customers high expectations, and specifications exactly.

Primary Heaters

Direct and indirect units come in stand alone models which can be mounted on copper rings and are fully insulated, whatever the size indirect units can have either a fixed coil or a removeable 'U' battery, both suitable for water or steam. Fixed coils are more economical. Access holes can be added if maintenance is required.


  • Options - General Guide
    Immersion heaters:
    Copper calorifiers are as standard supplied with 67mm immersion bosses and can be supplied with up to 18kW to fit these.

    Flanges can be fitted to take higher rated immersions which we can also supply on request. Control panels are also available on request.
    Thermal insulation:
    Polyurethane foam lagging is very economical but injected insulation with a galvanised steel or aluminium casing is also available.

    Rapid recovery:
    State the re-heat time required and what kW input is needed and a primary heater will be designed to suit.
    Destratification pumps:
    These can be fitted with the appropriate internal pipework to suit. These eliminate the risk of legionella.

    Plate heat exchangers:
    These can be linked to calorifiers for high peak demand. A complete range of gauges and valves are available, please ask for details.
